Our skin is the largest organ of our body and deserves extra care as it is the first barrier against negative influences from outside. Collagen, the primary building block of our skin along with elastin and hyaluronic acid, plays a significant role in the structure and health of our skin. As we age, the production of collagen naturally decreases. This decline in collagen production is one of the key factors contributing to the aging process and the development of common signs of aging, such as wrinkles, sagging skin, and loss of skin elasticity. The reduced collagen production can result from various factors, including genetics, sun exposure, smoking, poor diet, and environmental factors.

The decrease in collagen production typically starts in our mid-20s and becomes more noticeable as we get older. Collagen supplementation has been praised by many as a solution to overcome our natural decline in collagen production. However, there are drawbacks linked to collagen supplementation, which are often overlooked. Collagen is a very large protein, and it has not been proven that ingested collagen actually ends up where it belongs: in our skin layers. Usually, it is simply broken down in our gastrointestinal system. The source of collagen supplements is also not suited for vegans, as it comes from animal slaughter waste. The origin of many collagen supplements is therefore questionable.

Rather than supplementing with external collagen, we strongly believe in boosting our body to improve our own collagen production.

Add 1 scoop of THE skin to your drink, your granola or your yoghurt. Mix it well, use the Zirtui mixer for optimal results.  THE skin can be taken daily and at any time of the day. Know that changes don’t happen overnight. For best results, we advise to use THE skin for a minimum of three months.
